Henna Crowns & Surgical Site Adornment
My Grandma Wanda was the first person in my family to let me practice on her when I first started working with henna. She loved the henna experience, and her lady-friends always clucked and cooed over each new design because she loved showing them off. Grandma beat breast cancer when I was a teenager, but colon cancer claimed her years later, just after my first child was born. Every henna crown I create makes it feel like she's back, just for a little while.
In Wanda's name, 50% of each Beautiful Bravery session fee will be donated to Stewart's Caring Place, a fantastic Akron-area resource and support center for cancer patients AND their families. See examples of henna crowns HERE! |
