All my work is created using my own hand-mixed, all-natural blend of organic Rajasthani and Jamila henna powders, raw sugar, distilled water, and therapeutic-grade frankincense and high-altitude lavender essential oils.  All images with "black"-appearing lines are pictures of the paste on the skin, which dries to a very dark green that can appear black.

The reddish-brown stain is what the paste leaves behind.  Proper care for a great stain includes 4 to 8 hours "paste-on" time, followed by proper after-care procedures such as avoiding water as much as possible in the first 12 hours, moisturizing often with a natural vegetable oil (coconut, shea butter, coco butter), and avoiding exposure to chlorine.   The final color of the stain is determined by the location on the body, aftercare, and each individual's personal chemistry.
